An Evening of Mozart
Join us for a celebration of Mozart. Featuring pianist, Philip Elwell, who’ll be performing Piano Concerto No 25 in C major.
The piano concerto is considered the last of the twelve greats which were composed in Vienna by Mozart.
Written at the same time as the piano concerto, SBMS will present Symphony No 38 in C major, the so-called Prague Symphony where it was premiered in January 1787.
The SBMS orchestra will also be performing the overture to Mozart’s comic singspiel Der Shauspieldirektor (The Impressario).
